Gourd Patches are local gourd groups that have formed throughout the state that meet independently, and in addition to our ALGS mother organization meetings. Currently there are 6 active Patches outside of Cullman (where the state society meetings are held), in Baldwin County, the Birmingham area,  the Auburn area, in Huntsville, the Walker County area,  and a new patch in the Opp area. People in several other areas of the state have expressed interest in starting Patches too. If you live in their vicinity feel free to contact them to learn how to participate and help start a Patch. The American Gourd Society has an excellent article that tells you, step by step, how to start a Patch in your area. ALSO, if you would like to start a Patch in your area let us know so that we can add you as a contact.
