East Ala /Auburn Patch

The East Alabama Gourd Sprouts had its first organizational meeting in Spring 2003. Currently they meet the first Sunday every  month  with planned activities to learn new gourd techniques from each other. To get the word out to the public, we have a booth at Garden in the Park, an annual event every March, as a part of Keep Opelika Beautiful, and also Auburn City Fest, where thousands attend each year. Spring is a busy time for us! We have also had a segment on our local TV channel. You can view our group on their website under the community section, County Road 12, WSFA- TV 12 out of Montgomery, Alabama.

For more info, contact Pudden Watkins (334) 821-1861, or
Winnie Logan (334) 826-1992.

Meetings are held the first Sunday every month at 1:30pm at 225 Lee Rd. 20 in Auburn.
Directions: Follow I-85 to Auburn and get off at Exit 51 and turn south off the exit ramp towards Tuskegee.
Go straight about 2 miles to Lee Rd. 20 and turn left. Go straight about 2 blocks and you will see a large tan metal building on the left. This is where we meet. If you go to the fork in the road, you have gone too far.
